He regains all his godlike powers when he has his hammer in hand.

Though in the current Thor comic, Thor has assumed Odin’s position in Asgard.

If Marvel throttles back the godlike Thor’s power, that would be pretty sad. Sort of like the TV Hulk who couldn’t even catch a flying helicopter.
