Despite the limited animation, I’m surprised it was never licensed.

I corrected “Violinst,” but “Halemn” (missing the “i”) is the proper official Japanese Romanization, similar to the way the official Romanization of Brain Powered is actually “Brain Powerd.”

Regrettably, the show does have extremely limited animation. Fantastic story, music, and character design. Just very minimal animation.

It’s funny, I was just thinking about opening sequences yesterday, when I popped in the first disc of SLAYERS: REVOLUTION for the first time. The tempo of the song is the same, the eclectic sequence of strong action poses was the same, and the constant playing up of the ‘fantasy-adventure’ sentiment, was the same… but I just couldn’t really get into it. The quality of animation was better, but I just couldn’t get into it.

I heard that this show suffered from a lot of still frame shots. Is that true?
